Thank you for this story . It is mashup of several of my favorite sources of gardening information!

Nowadays you can walk into any Sacramento - area big box store and pick up a few of the avocado varieties you noted, and of course the independent-owned nurseries have many more to choose from.

The trick is getting them to fruit and… hold the fruit through the first heat waves of summer!

Loved the podcast, only found out about you. Shopping for 2 grafted avocado trees for our property, possibly spring and fall to have through out the year.

Our location is Oahu, Hawai’i searching local nurseries to accommodate.

Nancy, I did not realize that Hawaii can grow over 200 different avocado varieties! That's according to the Hawaiian Avocado Association. They have some useful info for you at their website: https://www.hawaiiavocadoassociation.com/hawaiian-avocado-varieties.html
